Gladys Louis

The Tobagonian born designer Gladys Louis began her fashion career in the early 1980’s by successfully obtaining a Fashion Degree from the Mayer School of Fashion, based in New York City. The theoretical and practical skills and knowledge gained in New York encouraged her to return to her native Trinidad & Tobago to open her first boutique.

In recognition of her unexplored talents, she made the decision to close the boutique in 1994 and create a couture studio. Although this limited her availability to the public, it satisfied the needs of clients who understood their intrinsic and unique value. Since its inception, G-SEOW Ethnic Bridal Couture has received triumphant reviews for its uniquely ethnic bridal creations, with collections being presented at the Trinidad & Tobago Fashion Week 2008 & 2009, Caribbean Fashion Rhythms 2008 Barbados, The Mahogany Bridal Show 2009 as well as several shows and private viewings throughout the Caribbean and North America.

2010 will see G-SEOW embark upon new challenges as Gladys Louis continues to exceed expectations and rise to the challenges of the modern bride.
